About 10RM SMS Messages
10RM sends two categories of SMS messages, managed as separate messaging programs:
Program 1: Security Messages (Account Verification & Recovery)
One-time codes sent only when you initiate a security action:
- Account verification codes — one-time passwords for two-factor authentication (2FA) when you log in or verify your identity.
- Account recovery codes — security codes sent when you reset your password or recover access to your account.
These messages are triggered by your action only. No promotional content is sent under this program.
Program 2: Gym & Coach Messages (Retention & Re-engagement)
Messages from your gym or coach to help you stay engaged with your fitness goals:
- Gym and coach messages — check-ins after periods of inactivity, encouragement to stay active, or other communications related to your membership.
These messages can be disabled in your notification preferences. You can also reply STOP at any time.
The terms, privacy protections, and opt-out rights described on this page apply equally to both programs.
How You Opt In
Security messages: Phone numbers are collected when you enable two-factor authentication (2FA) in the 10RM mobile app. You enter your phone number and verify it by confirming a one-time SMS code. After verification, security codes are sent only when you initiate a login or account recovery action.
Gym & coach messages: By creating an account, providing your phone number, and accepting the Terms of Use (Section 13.1), you consent to receive gym and coach messages. You can enable or disable these at any time in your notification preferences.
Providing your phone number and consenting to SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services or of using the Platform.
Managing Your SMS Preferences
You can control which SMS messages you receive at any time through the Notification Preferences screen in the 10RM app. The SMS Notifications toggle allows you to enable or disable non-security SMS messages such as gym and coach communications.
Security messages (verification codes and recovery codes) are always sent when you initiate a login or account recovery action, regardless of your notification preferences.

When users enable two-factor authentication, they enter their phone number and see the SMS consent disclosure before verifying:

Users can manage non-security SMS messages through Settings > Notification Preferences:

Message Frequency & Rates
Message frequency varies depending on your account activity and your gym's communication schedule. Verification codes are sent only when you initiate a login or account recovery action. Gym and coach messages are limited to a reasonable volume determined by your gym.
Message and data rates may apply. Contact your mobile carrier for details about your messaging plan.
How to Opt Out
You can stop receiving SMS messages at any time using any of these methods:
- Reply STOP to any 10RM text message to unsubscribe immediately.
- In the app: Go to Settings > Notification Preferences and toggle off SMS Notifications.
- Reply HELP to any message for assistance.
- Contact us at support@10rm.app for help with SMS preferences.
Opting out of SMS does not affect your account, your ability to use 10RM, or any purchases you have made.
Your Privacy
We will not share, sell, or distribute your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Your phone number is shared only with our SMS delivery provider (Twilio) for the sole purpose of transmitting messages you have consented to receive. For full details on how we collect, use, and protect your personal information, see our Privacy Policy (Section 4.3).
Carrier Disclaimer
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. 10RM is not responsible for messages that are not delivered due to carrier issues, device incompatibility, or incorrect phone numbers.
